This a real-estate holding firm that acquires hotels, then renovates them to sell to other chains. I've always liked this one and wanted to replace a loser dividend stock with a better one. In recessionary times, vacation budgets are stretched but the hotel chains will be positioning to offer more for less during this time so the immediate future is a little volative for now, but shows promise. In May and June, they sold a few hotels which will increase revenue but they may be dumping some of these just to address cash flow issues. But the dividend is very attractive, at a current rate of 15%. |
