Cramer's Take on Headline Stocks: May 1

Description:

So it's still in the news, but we're no longer supposed to call it by its familiar name. The World Health Organization announced on Thursday that from now on it will refer to what we've been calling "swine flu" as " H1N1 influenza A" to avoid misleading people into thinking that pigs are dangerous.

Some think the name change comes a little too late. Indeed, Smithfield Foods (SFD) and Tyson Foods (TSN both plunged on Monday with the onset of swine-flu panic.

Continental (CAL) announced on Friday that it will cut back on flights to Mexico for the time being, due to fewer passengers booking seats on the flights.

But pork futures were surging on Friday morning, indicating that the swine-flu panic might be dying down.
With this in mind, we thought we'd take a look at some of the headlines today and see what Jim Cramer's been saying about them.
