Stockerblog.com Monthly Dividend Stocks Canada

Description:

I've put together a list of stocks which pay dividends on a monthly basis. The list can be found at stockerblog.com. In this porfolio, I've extracted the ten highest yielding Canadian companies, all of which are oil income trusts. Be aware that the Canadian stocks have tax withholding issues on their dividends. If they are owned by a retirement plan, such as an IRA, you won't be able to recover the the withheld Canadian tax, according to my accountant. Check with your accountant to confirm. In addition, in a few years, the Canadian government has plans to eliminate the tax-free passthrough of earnings for Canadian trusts, which means that payouts will eventually be lowered.
