Finding the next Dendreon(DNDN) ?

Wow, Sophia, with that many drug options, it seems more people would be getting better
help. Do you think some of our docs might be overlooking some of them?

Well, God bless Mr. Cramer, but if I'm not mistaken he wasn't very fond of DNDN either.
"grin"

Someone , somewhere did recommend POZN for a migraine drug coming up for approval. I
don't know anything about it yet, but put it on my watchlist.

I saw that Sophia too. And I got excited. But I think Cramer isn't too hot on it, so I
didn't look into it any further. Not that he's right all the time, but still it helps to
have him and his analysts at least saying its worth a buy. Do you know about it from a
victim's perspective or a chemist's perspective?

Soph: Yeah, I think we need something more mainstream, for those people who aren't chronic
but can take something when they feel one coming on. What are the side effects of those
sumatriptans?

Ok...Here's a complete list of biotech companies I have in a WATCHLIST portfolio. I do
not own any of them. I am familiar with the large cap ones, but not all of the small
ones. I picked them up from various website recommendations and broadcast media for
future reference and research. CYTR, CTIC,
CYTK,TRCA,TELK,DNA,GILD,AMGN,CERS,MLNM,POZN,PDLI,CEGE, and TRMS. Have fun......good luck!

haha, funny you mention that Betty, I own DRAX. So far it has done decent for me up 6.5%
from where I bought it earlier this month. I'll be honest I saw it on motley fool's caps
site and checked it out. seems like a solid company. Although projections are predicting
a lower multiple with similar earnings, who knows. It has high grow and no debt, with
prospects of its radiopharmaceuticals to become a much larger portion of its business.

I heard about pozn on CNBC two days ago and they will have a new migraine drug out in
August. I will check into that: this is one area I know something about. If it is a new
class of drug then it is a break-through. If it is a derivative of the current drugs, they
will simply take market share.

Blue: there are good meds for migraine- they are sumatriptans (imitrex, amerge,
zomerge(?), maltex(?) are 4 sumatriptan derviatives), but perhaps the people you know
cannot tolerate them (many people cannot). But those who can are clear of headache within
an hour.

BettyB: Thanks (duh, of course FDA has a website)! I have been thinking of you since last
night when the news broke...you and, is it Doug or Derek in on this? Great pick. :)

I may wait for a bit of a pull back and then buy some because the FDA news would push it
up for sure. It is sort of only relying on one drug though, although it seems promising.
Of course a lot of what if's happening in my head and I am sur eothers had they invested
before the jump, haha.

This isn't in the same world, but does anyone have any migraine plays? NMTI was a bust and
Cramer is bearish on POZN. I've been looking for years for a serious migraine drug
biotech. Because I know at least a hundred people personaly who would give just about
anything for relief when one of those suckers comes on.

might check out DRAX also. broker mentioned it to me. has some clients who've bought it.
Canadian company. I've looked at it. Looks well run and managed, but other than that
can't speak to the future. I'd need to do more homework.
