Robert, you hit the nail on the head. The SIRI/XMSR merger lasted so long, that it became
a crowded trade. Both companies have lost so much during the 17 month wait. Then SIRI
pulls a Merrill Lynch and announces capital raising. The common stock price was doomed.
No one was going to be willing to buy the stock at a higher price, knowing that it was
going to come back down.
Someone over in Goldman Sachs (SIRI was on their conviction sell list) is saying "I told
ya so".

The FCC didn't need to take this long like that isn't another alternative for radio. Give
me a break!

I just think these companies are worthless. They are not making any cashflow, either of
them, and they want to merge!!!!!! Lol. Both of them have about the same Market Cap too.
Even if we include debt this merger is expensive. Unless they can reduce expensives and
selling strategy I'd sell too.

DOJ and FCC should be charged with hate crimes, they tied a chain around SIRI's neck and
dragged it down an unpaved road for 17 months.

One factor of the market equation not very often discussed openly is the market dealing
with numbers of participants on the buy side and the sell side.
In the case of the XM/SIRI merger there were too many participants represented in the
numbers who were going along for the ride (merger completion) as well as over-reaching
(mentally) with the anticipated market value or target price that was achievable.
With SIRI sliding below $2 you saw more holders wanting to exit a disappointing
speculation play they have held for longer than they ever anticipated originally holding
the stock.

I own shares of Sirius and am a little confused of how the M&A transition accurs. Does
anyone know how this system works and typically how long it takes?
Why is SIRI going down after such GOOD NEWS???
PLEASE HELP
