We didn't qualify.... But as a business owner, the stimulus for us was the 179 deduction
was jumped from 125K to a whopping $250K
This means that business owners can buy up to $250k in business assets and take a full
deduction on the $250K without having to depreciate it over 20 yrs....
So I guess I will buy a Xerox Copier, couple new company cars, some new Macbooks, a few
Iphones for employees Blah Blah Blah

Peter, at least you got a discount...I didn't even get that. Love paying estimated taxes
quarterly, especially when the likelihood of not actually owing said taxes is high.

yeah right, the stimulus check. I never saw it. Instead I got a letter from the IRS saying
I owed less than the last letter, pay up - you're months overdue.

it was...sort of....gave a friend of mine 2 month catch up on her bills....it came in
handy for myself, i stashed it away until i needed an extra paycheck. i'm sure it was a
good short term relief for the economy...and i'd welcome anymore extra paychecks the gov
wants to throw my way.....possibly it depends on your usual paycheck if a 600 check has
any important impact on your lifestyle or not.

I figured I'd bring this thread up to the front. Remember when the stimulus check was
supposed to be our economic savior? Oh, the good old days.

they say pay yourself first. well you were paying yourself first when you were using that
credit card so now pay them first.

income tax return and stimulus check will be used to pay some long term bills...i'd rather
put it in the market but i know paying bills is the smarter move.
