What happened tomorrow?

"Philosophies are proven wrong every day, as they are (primarily) only partially
thought-through beleifs with no underlying basis for being eithre fact or fiction."

Oh mock, you break my heart. Our country is built on philosophy. Indeed every ethos we
live by or build social policy on stems from philosophy. Free market's are built on
philosophy. Have you read any Locke? Our founding father's did along with a good dose of
the Greeks. Even the most advanced forms of mathematics are philosophical. Quantum
physics, string theory--why all the debate if was just a matter of black and white.
Einstein, Newton, Galileo, Darwin, Adam Smith, Marx, Ghandi and even Jesus of
Nazareth--all philosophers. The world changed as a direct result of their very well
thought through beleifs. I hope you just meant to deride that particular argument as
abstract or metaphysical instead of levying a judgement against philosophy in general.
Also, I'm totally with you. Mr McCarthy I'm not a communist! Or a socialist! Communism
does suck (it's important to know why which is a philosophical debate) but it does have an
effecient way of purging corruption and building infrastrcuture. That's what Africa needs
and that was my only point. Nietzsche called such leveling ideologies "the great plow" ,
like a good market correction, making the land fertile once again for good stuff like
capitalism to grow.
Sophia--you just asked the most important domestic question of the 21st century. Now, how
do we do it?

Please do Mock. Be sure to begin with: how will a free market economy provide adequate
health care to everyone who wants it? (and presumably that will be a good 99.9% of the
population).

This board has gotten so long that it's moving incredibly slow. If it's alright with
everyone, I will create a "what happened tomorrow pt. 2"

In regards to China, I don't think they'll ever crumble, but they will definately
stumble.

The reason I don't think they'll crumble is b/c they're kinda like excessive capitalists
in disguise. They basically do everything pro-economy, they don't offer health care or
pension plans, they have no labor unions... Thus, even though their size of government and
centralized control are very "communist", their economy is very pro-capitalist I have to
say...

India is the one to watch out for, though. Very long-term (100 years), India is set up
for greatness...

I love the stockpickr message boards :-)

yes, even the spelling stinks..............!!! LOL

Sorry Mock, you're a day late and a dollar short in the geo/political/finacial spectrum.
The globalists have their hearts set on a blend of democracy with socialism. Universal
(socialized) health care is coming like a freight train. Why do liberals love euphamisms
so much? Cause you can fool many of the people most of the time.

It's ok Mock: your hyper-free market business school combined with youthful idealism just
has you a little brainwashed... we'll get you a little more balanced here! LOL :)

You have read "The Jungle", haven't you?
