Mad Money At Georgia Tech

CPU I missed this...Thank you for posting. At USC Jim had to go and do Jimmy Kimbell and
fly back so he was unable to meet most of the Students..but of course Ryan, Ubber and
myself were able to get into the VIP stuff..(thanks Ubber). I agree Jim is the same on air
as he is in person. I am surprised he didn't hang around and sign autographs with the
students?? I thought he normally does that...but I guess he had to get back. For the
comedian..all shows use them to warm up the audience....just a side note...I am new to
stocks...but I KNOW Funny, and THE STREET Jeff Kreisler is not funny...his timing, like
soooo many bad comics I have seen, is so off...I really think someone should point him in
another direction. Sorry about that...but he is like nails on a chalkboard... CPU did you
notice Jim has great comedic timing..I think you have to be born with it..either you have
it or you don't. I have to look at the video on CNBC to see if I see you near the 401
girl. Thank You!!!!

Thanks for adding your comments. I figured I probably left out a few things.

GT is mostly a technology school. Female students tend to be in the minority. I know
there was probably only about 8 or 10 females students in a program of about 300 students
when I was school studying computer science. Not very many of them were even attractive.

I wasn't expecting a comedian, but really he was good. He wasn't working his material or
anything, just made crowd observations. He did well, I mean it wasn't like we were
expecting a comedian. Everyone wanted to see Cramer.

Cramer took every opportunity to talk to the crowd. It was very informative and very cool.

Cramer took acting lessons from Gene Hackman.

Cramer had a computer there and made it a point to let the crowd know Thursday's afternoon
market action was flat, and he would give some updates of after hours reports if he
noticed anything interesting. I thought that was cool since they told us, once you are in,
you are here to stay.

I was impressed with the crowd. Tech really showed up and was loud. I only saw one
student doing homework, usually its no less than 10.

I got a Mad Money Bear.

They did also remind us of the federal offense of using his stock picks before airtime.
And they were serious. Luckily this jail cell has a computer. Wish I brought my bear.

Like the IU show much better...maybe it is because I go there? Must say Cramer was very
down on the stocks the "callers" had last night during his show....even though many really
were bad picks for this market, it really gave insight to the market...Not surprised the
market sold off so much today. Love the college shows though...he really is a great guy.

I was able to attend too (IE '01) and I completely agree with cputech's comments about the
show. I would like to add a few things as well.

First, there are almost no girls at Tech. They are 27% of the student body maybe. I
remember walking campus and seeing cute girls at the beginning of the semester for two
weeks and thinking to myself, "Finally!!!, cute girls. This my year!!" To only find
October roll around and its dudes everywhere. The other occasion is during big events.
If ESPN GameDay was on campus or something, girls were out and about.

The only reshoot I remember was they came out of the Coke piece with applause, which the
audience was told not to do. So we obeyed the second time and it was a clean take.

It was a very strange vibe when Jim was doing Street Signs because he was mic'ed and we
could hear him loudly, then silence as he talked. We were in an enclosed courtyard, so
the noise was very loud, which probably made it better for applause.

More to come...

I'm thinking i'm gonna go visit georgia tech soon.

What parts of the show had to be reshot ?

Sounds like you had a good time. I went to the USC show and it seems as if they were
pretty similar. Jim made a comment that i really related to, that it is somewhat of an out
of body experience. It seemed to have more genuine excitement than most, if not all
concerts I've been to. Perhaps this is because people feel like they know Jim which
creates a different atmosphere (though in many ways they are similar).

Also, he doesn't just look the same, he acts exactly the same. Great show, greater guy.

Yeah! I was thinkin the same thing about the girlies. I'll take our So. Cal girls if I was
forced to choose, but I might have to make a trip out there. maybe catch one of the
football games or somethin.

There is an extra video of more Q/A that wasn't in the actual show also:

alchemist, I wasn't really surprised that he looked the same either. It was just that
feeling I had. Jim's face is so famliar to me from watching the show every night, it was
almost like watching a close friend give a speech. I think when you have only ever seen a
person on TV, when you see them in real life it's kind of surreal.

About the pretty ladies, well, I think people underestimate the great state of Georgia.
They aren't called Georgia peaches for no reason!!
