What are retail investors
posted by Sorceress Sarah on 10 months ago
The OIC is a pretty good source for education. They have a vested interest in retail
investors being successful with options. Most retail investors do not trade options, and
the ones that do usualy don't do the work to educate themselves as to how to limit losses,
and so end up out of the game quickly.
Remember: Don't try to pay off your mortgage with every trade. You'll lose the house.
Think "Piranha": Lots and lots of small bites.

bigtief - Go to the CBOE website. Look for the CBOE TV links. Watch the "Master
Sessions" videos. Be sure to have a notebook. You will learn some amazing strategies.

Ya I'm not really a buy and hold investor

Please don't get too involved with options until you know enough about them to learn from
what can happen. There is plenty of free info out there to help you along until you feel
comfortable about placing a trade.
There is a message board on yahoo that you might want to join and pay attention to.
OptionClub@yahoogroups.com
Option trading is a lot quicker than stock trading and requires your time and discipline.
It's not for the buy and hold investors.
Good Luck

I think the GOOG 615 calls are good to hold till the end of the week. Just don't get
greedy if they are up big tommorow or before Friday then just sell em with a good gain and
be happy.

Bigteif - When I make the assertion that options are a "time-wasting" vehicle, do you know
what that means? Are you buying those calls to open, or to close? What's the difference
between intrinsic value and "time premium? If not, GO TO

Click on the "learning" tab, and get studying. You could get really burned if you don't
know what's up.
