CFC is no investment. Just a trade. Buy if think a Fed cut is coming next month. Sell
if you think it won't. Whatever you do, don't hold until it survives a couple more
quarters.
Not much of a believer in the CEO.

I think the deal today was, they were pounding new loans to Fannie and Freddie. Now
Freddie says it needs to recapitalize. Without Fannie and Freddie, who will be the buyer
of last resort?
Without the GSEs, they are in a bit of trouble.
Congrats to BAC on their nice attempt at knife-catching back at 18. Couldn't happen to a
nicer bunch of guys.
Amazing how the big guys forget the rules too... don't catch a falling knife, can't buy
and hope (with your Level 3 assets), etc.

wonder if i'm being a pig by continuing to hold my short position in CFC---cost basis
$13.95. Soros went long @ over $18 last quarter, so he's down about 35% so far. He was way
too early, but he could become right later if there's a rescue merger. I wonder if CFC was
sold to Soros by Goldman Sachs. GS has been doing alot of shorting lately. Who's
smarter----Soros or Goldman?
