Ya know, for a phone, if I can hold a conversation with it, I'm happy!

I want a new phone with more capabilities. Keeping the iphone in mind for sometime down
the road. I couldn't say for sure that I'd buy one since I have not had a chance to see
one in-person.

Amid iPhone hype, fewer ready to buy, but more ready to
pay

Regardless, I would not be buying the stock going into Friday.

Lets say u have a car key and an iphone in your pocket!!!

there will be a scratch at least for sure in that scenario.

unless it comes with a cover like the one in blackberry

599/499 2 year at&t termination fee = i will wait for sometime for the price to come
down.

Not an apple hater. But its pricey for me.

Probably most people here who are long AAPL, at that's about it. That's if they know when
to sell a top.

There was a "live IPhone interview" on CNBC just now where they showed the phone off a
little. Wasn't the best location to do the interview, since the phone couldn't connect to
the network inside the building. You might be able to pull it off cnbc.com video.

so far the two reviews out are positive, points out the weaknesses already known which I
don't think will be deal breakers for most. Did address concerns about scratching, both
said there are no scratches at all after 2 weeks of no cover.

in a nutshell, amazing phone for everything, email and web are favorites, looks great and
super simple to use, great battery time in testing better than any other smart phones.
Downsides are the EDGE network for the web, but on wifi it is very fast. One thought the
typing was no problem, the other one didn't like it at first but said the smart software
must be trusted and you get much faster using it as well.

both links are on yahoo finance i believe.

Ben

Yeah wifi is a much faster data rate than the Edge network. But being shackled to a wifi
hotspot is not very mobile - sort of defeats the mobileness of the mobile phone. To
nitpick the advertisements for the iPhone just a little, the ads imply that YouTube is
accessible via a mobile internet connection. At least that is what the ads imply to me, I
could be the only one that assumed that was the case, but I was surprised to read articles
that wifi was required. I see it as a limitation that is not completely transparent in
the ads. Not everyone is as tech savvy as we are, if you ask the average peson in an
Apple or AT&T store and ask them what wifi is, I bet most would look at you with a blank
stare or they might assume it is equivalent to the Edge network.

wifi is free and plentiful these days as well as much faster (generally) then any existing
mobile internet connection, at least is the reason given. 3G is supposedly coming down the
road but for now it was too expensive supposedly.
