Hey, guys -- Joanna Ossinger here from TheStreet.com. Like James, I'd love to know your
opinions on restaurants in NYC, and on the articles we wrote about them. Did you agree
with me about Michael Jordan's being a great steakhouse? Has anyone else been to Robert's
(who will actually admit it)? If you haven't checked out James's article and mine, you
should do that now at http://www.thestreet.com.

No the earthquake is true:

james have you searched like NYC restaurants and see which ones comes up, here is a link I
found, I don't know where you are compared to these:

http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&resnum=0&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=good+restaurants&near=New+York,
+NY&fb=1&view=text&sa=X&oi=local_group&resnum=1&ct=more-results&cd=1

or these

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=l&view=text&hl=en&q=food&near=W+55th+St,+New+York,+New+York,
+New+York+10019,+United+States&ie=UTF8&oi=georefine&ct=clnk&cd=1&geocode=0,40.765420,-73.9
83820

don't know if that helps you at all

ok, I thought maybe it was Mayor Daley with indigestion

an earth quake in Chicago? Is that a metaphor for a bad night out, or for real, Chris? Or
was it the outcome of Chicago municipal elections?

ok, again, I can't answer for NYC, but the best restaurant in Koln, Germany is the train
station across from the Cathedral.

There are over 50 restaurants or quick stops to eat, and it is an international
smorgasbord

It's ok, James, I once started a thread here on "What's the best beer in the world?"

And now a restaurant question. I can't answer for NYC, but here's a tangent issue.

I met this woman at the Farmer's Market 3 weeks ago, and after talking for a while, she
asked me, "Which of these sounds better? A candlelit restaurant, a hole in the wall, a
great steak house, or dinner at my house." I looked at her and thought about saying, "you
must be kidding, one of those is only a few steps from the best dessert" - but instead, I
asked, "where did you get that question, eHarmony?"

And she said "YES"

HAHAHAHA

I know this doesn't seem like a Stockpickr related forum but it really is. Even traders
have to eat. The problem is, I hate going to the mid-level posh restaurants in "hedge fund
alley": Park/Lex between Grand Central and 55th Street. What other recommendations do
people have?

For instance, some of my picks:
Kyotofu on 48th and 9th
ilili on 27th and 5th
Goody's (Chinese) on 1 East Broadway in Chinatown
Diamond Dairy (breakfast) in (of course) the diamond district (47th and 5th)
Cha-an (teahouse) in the east village

any others?
