outlaw of contact sports replaced by 2...4 man teams playing national broadcast wii video
games.
(we as a society are already promoting panzy behavior...don't spank em, give em a time
out, child proof your home, wear bicycle helmets, knee pads for skaters). what happened to
survival of the fitest...now we're trying to keep as much unfit around as possible. we as
a country are already seeing the effects of lowering the grade curve...vote for Billary!

Two high tech scenarios you should not rule out.
1) The Bill Joy fear of nanotech getting out of hand and delivering the "grey goo" threat.
Even something less terminal but out of control would create havoc.
2) AI (Artificial Intelligence) a la the "Singularity" or something rather short of it.
"Smarter" decision support software evolves to the point where it begins to supplant many
white collar jobs. Corporate decisoin making grows so automated that the success of
competitive corporations spirals into a caotic competition between almost wholely
automated entities with little concern for the underlying human impact of decisions.
Its not hard to see #2 evolving from where we are today if you understand this branch of
info tech...

Hillary Clinton is Elected President of the United States.
The Dot Com Revolution comes back for a second showing except this time it's strictly X
rated Featuring Bill's Escapades monetized on the Internet.
NOBODY would benefit except for Erik Estrada and his Arkansas Land Empire.

How about an asteroid smacks the Earth and all land species more than 2 feet tall are
wiped out, except for alligators and crocs, like last time. Would the NYSE stay open?

What about the black hole that will be created when they turn on the particle colider in
France? It will swallow the earth. Luckily I am currently selling black hole insurance
for anyone that is concerned and if you act now I will throw in carbon credits.
