A doppelganger is defined as a person who is a look alike of another person. In some cultures there is lore of the doppelganger being an evil person or ghost, who haunts a living person.In the world of investing we also have doppelgangers. These are companies that may sound or look alike. As a result, the uninformed investor or trader might confuse them with one another. Investing in a doppelganger stock has many risks.
