I bought Dow Chemical (DOW), at $44.55, thinking it had a solid dividend and also represented a good buyout candidate. Is its new deal with Kuwait the first step in a sellout?

I'm losing on Shaw Group (SGR), which I bought at $65. Should I get out or wait it out? I'm afraid to throw more money in to average down.

Did Goldman Sachs (GS) move its subprime into its losing hedge funds?

Sorry, Cramer, I have to disagree with your Best Buy (BBY) pick. ... The last time I looked for something at Best Buy, the sales guy at the camera counter was a jerk and did everything he could to discourage my business, including almost yelling at me when I asked questions about the cameras. I ended up buying my next camera at Target, which has a much better electronics selection than Best Buy, and they sell home goods, groceries and clothes! If it's a toss up between the two and you want a retail play, I say go with Target (TGT).
Anyone else agree/disagree?

Seeing as I'm in on IMA at 23 and GEOY at 16, maybe my pick of LXU will attract your attention. #1 maker of geothermal heating systems, and 1 of 2 makers of high-grade Ammonium nitrate (Terra's the other). 2 disparate businesses, both on fire. I would like to see them sell the chem biz--the margins are higher and less economically sensitive in the geothermal biz. Great buy at 21-22.

I would love to know if anyone knows whether or not Sirius and XM are merging and what the deadline for the dept. of justice is to make this decision?

Hi Jim, You've been saying -- and I agree with you -- that Darden is the kind of company that the big shots on Wall Street don't pay much attention to because it's not the kind of place that go to when dining out.

This morning, Darden announced their 2Q results and the stock has been getting hammered all day. And yet, when I look at the results I'm seeing increased sales, continuing dividends and plans for growth. Granted, increased costs are hurting the bottom line, but is this a case of a good company's stock getting devalued simply because of unmet expectations and the fear of a recession?

Are you still high on DRI and, if so, is this an opportunity to "buy on the bad news?"

Jim, you've been bullish on CELG, but I hear only good things about MLNM. Do you still se growth for CELG even under attack from Millenium's Velcade? I know CELG is aggressively expanding it's sales of Revlimid beyond the US in 08, so I'm still long but could things change in the near term for this company?
