Schneider SmallCap Value - SCMVX

Description:

Schneider Small Cap Value Fund is an open-end fund incorporated in the USA. The Fund invests primarily in common stocks of companies which have capitalization that are less than the largest company in the Russell 2000 Index and which the Adviser believes are undervalued.

Since Bill Miller and Manu Daftary did not succeed in beating the S&P 500 in 2006 then Schneider SmallCap Value is now tied with one to three others at having the longest winning streaks versus the S&P 500.

From Barron's (1-8-07): "Arnie Schneider, who runs the Schneider Small-Cap Value Fund (SCMVX), attributes its strong recent performance -- up 11.17% in the quarter -- more to stock selection than to any macroeconomic strategy. "The last three years have been pretty much nirvana for small-cap companies," says Schneider, because they tend to earn a large portion of their revenue and earnings domestically. But he fears that the good times could end in 2007, with corporate profit gains declining to the single digits. "It's pretty hard to see how margins can expand in an environment that produces a 2.5% increase in gross domestic product," he warns.
