The Defined Strategy Fund (DSF) is a closed end fund that implements a Dogs of the Dow strategy, but also adds some additional side bets in derivative contracts on non-Dow stocks to add "alpha" or excess return.The Dogs of the Dow strategy simply buys the 10 Dow Jones stocks with the highest dividend yield equally weighted.
