March 16,2007 Update on thought about this stuff
AAPL If AAPL takes a big dip, Perhaps we should build up
our position in this one, maybe another 2K. I suspect there will be
some delays on the iPhone and that might the change to buy some stock.
But I admit this is pretty pricey stock as it is. update march 23,2007 we sold AAPL this week since we had made 20%, Maybe we start buying able again when the iPhones runs into trouble and appl dips

BDSI I think you have the right idea, lock in 20% gains
in the next few weeks. I don't have much to say on this one but if it
dips fairly big before APRIL's announcement then perhaps we should
increase to 8K. Also I waiting for them to announce the secret
ingredient in Bema LA; I will have a much better feel for the company
after I know what it is.

CAT I think we talked about this one most, I would just
set a low price to buy and just watch things. The WSJ had an article
that CHINA housing is just ripping and shows no signs of decline, so
if CAT stay low then buy on Monday, otherwise, we may just want to let
this one ride. This one also pays dividends, but its pretty weak. I
think this is a stock that we sell once its ridden out, ie once we see
a global slowdown

COH The Options are betting it hits 50. i suppose we can go
another week but this stock has nothing in the news that says it is
going much of anyway. I think we missed the entry point on this one. Update march 23,2007. we sold and didnt lose any money but learned a lot about a stock being too "expensive"

DEO This one pays good dividends. It is going after
Absolut to buy so that should make the stock rise. I think if this
stock takes a dive from what we bought it, then would buy another 2K
at least. Again this one pays good dividends

ETRUX I don't know what to do with this one. Over time, it
will beat all the other stocks, but this is a long play and perhaps
not going to do much over the next year. It pays some dividends but
really nothing great. Its the small cap play. You could argue in the
short term, it is much better to just get rid of this one and free up
some cash. If I had to pick one of my stocks to dorp, I would drop this one.
update: march 23,2007. I sold the index. I have enough going into mutual funds at work, and this is our "mad (as in, we must be mad to be doing this) money"
GS I think we are maxed out here. Perhaps, we just wait
and watch for 20% and then start selling off on highs and buy back at
lows for the time being. It beat Bears Sterns(its competitor) in terms
of profit (29% increase versus Bear's 9% increase in profit) so in
short I don't think we should increase our buying on this on unless it
takes a huge dip.

HAL This one is *finally* starting to work. I think the
only reason it will dip is by having bad politically news. ie. Any big
dips, I would buy but I think we are maxed out on this position.

MGM I read a lot of what Cramer said on this one and he
simply doesn't think it is a best of breed stock. I was surprised at
how he seemed to be Bullish on it, but the stock WYNN is cheaper to
buy, and Cramer thinks LVS is a better stock. I don't know what
Cramer meant by the sock being cheap. It's P/E is 30, so unless China
really opens up on gambling. It's max value according to the options
guys is 70. I don't know, I just don't know. I am just not convinced
about this stock. I am not sure its actually cheap enough to buy.

MO I am not sure what to do with this stock. It pays good
dividends but I am going to wait and see what happens after the split.
Even if it dips big time (say by 10 dollars), i wouldn't buy MO
because of the split. The non-split stock MO.WI is just like buying MO
after the split and right now it is 65 dollars so I have no clear
idea. This is a good dividend stock and I think we should hold onto
for long run, but would take no action in terms of buying. I think we
have a good position in it.

NYX Ok Ok. This is *my* spec stock. I think after all
is said and done, this one has the potential to blow the roof off of
all the other stocks. I don't know why it is dropping. I suspect it's
because this merger with the dutch Euronext is just boring the pants
off people. Anyway, We have a good sized position here so nothing to
do but sit and watch and keep reading the news to make sure there is
no sudden bad news that sinks the merger deal.

update feb,23,2007 research. Risky bet but what i like is that they are trying to bring to market a long acting form of fentanyl (pain med) that will be a boon to people who cant tolerate the fentanyl patches (Duragesic patches) I could certainly use this in my practice, ie it will give a much needed option for pain management. update March 15, 2007. We are decided to hand in there even though it is up 20% since we bought it. Why? Because while this is a "pharma" company, it doesn't waste time in trying to come up with new drugs, but is trying to come up with ways to deliver proven drugs in new ways. Ie, My hope of a Fentanyl looking Acting Pill, but after talking with their rep, it turns out it is not Fentanyl which made me sad, but then he stated it is not a CLASS II drug which is a good thing, ie less hassle to write for and may be another med for chronic pain which I think will just grow in demand as the population get older. march 23,2007: Up some more. who knows why? I don't. This bothers me immensely as it can go down for now reason also. Anyway, Im waiting for the reports in April and will study them. I just hope people don't panic.

It will make money. Dividends too March 15, 2007. No complaints. Sure it's not popular but for now that the CEO is moving to Dubai, perhaps this means they are serious in going private, ie private equity play. march 23,2007 I did not quite understand their early annoucement. Something is up. Anyway, we made up the recent loss by buying on the dip. I suspect a lot of people did so perhaps HAL is doing something good but not sure what.

March 15,2007: This is a stock we bought for dividends. Also, lots of people want to smoke in CHINA March 23,2007: I dont know. I dont know. I suspect we bought high and there is just too much uncertainly about the KFT split. Let's hope we don't go down on this one.

March 15, 2007. Yes, everyone and their brother owns this. As I see it as does everyone else, once they merge with EuroNext (which posted good profits) then this will open to European (London next?) market wide open. 24 hour trading anyone? March 23, 2007. So far, no bad news. We get 20%, I will to reduce and balance our portfolio, but likely I am not ready to sell it all until we see what the merger does.
