This portfolio is a work in progress and I only add stocks I own, I am big on and I believe have room for long term growth (or a nice Pop).
I am also happy it was a spotlight portfolio on this webpage (6/27)
**NOTE** Some of the ticker symbols were not "valid" so please read the comments box to get the right symbol. (thats why I refuse to use the tracker since it doesn't have most of the stocks on here)
5/23: Caught a double on CYPB (removed it from my list)
6/21: 20% gain on GTF (sold about half my shares, keeping it on the list)
6/26: Sold 75% of PPHM. Keeping the 25% for long term
7/16: Removed Nastink an added a far worse biotech play.

GERN
Geron Corporation - $5.48

great pipeline, greater potential. Involved in treatment of cancer, degnerative diseases, diabetes, heart failure, spinal cord injuries, have the rights to nuclear transfer technology for use in human cells and cloned animals. Also have a HUGE study going on at the U of A. Using the Edmonton Protocol If you are not familar with the Edmonton Protocol here is a link: http://www.expressnews.ualberta.ca/article.cfm?id=6354 I bought it at $6.55.

BLTI

I truly believe this is the future of dentistry. With all the 1-800-Dentist hype and people wanting pain free dentists adds to the value of this company. Also HUGE room for growth as only 2000 of the Waterlase(MD) system have been sold. They also have teeth whitening machines and make accessories so its not just profit off the machines. Lastly, it keeps costs down and thats important for Dental insurance companies.

Tramiprosate (Alzhemed, Neurochem) is an anti-amyloid compound in Phase III Alzheimer's clinical trials. The Phase III clinical trial for Alzhemed has generated an unprecedented amount and complexity of data. The company discovered there were significant and unexpected differences in the data between the study's many sites, making it very difficult to determine the total outcome of the trial. Therefore, the company is working to account for the site differences, so it can analyze the data to determine the total results. I liked what I saw in past trials and feel this stock could pop upon the completion of the results of the Phase III. I'd be surprised if the results were negative. Results delayed till late 2007: http://www.medilexicon.com/medicalnews.php?newsid=75040

For some odd reason they wont let me enter NRLS as a valid stock symbol. But that is the stock I am talking about so ignore the bogus ticker symbol above.... or add a "S" to the end of it :P NRLS is a biotech company that has had some insider buying as of late. Currently doing research on ischemic spastic paraplegia, Lou Gerhigs disease & parkinsons disease. Its a VERY new company, has a licensing partnership and is moving to the AMEX very soon. It's had a good run from the start as well. The premise of the company is removing mitogen from the cells, which shuts down the command that would otherwise prevent them from dividing. As a result the cells keep reproducing. When they reintroduce the mitogen the cells shut down reproduction. The end result being the cells move on to their next stage become neurological cells. Which in turn would help those who have neurological problems. They are currently testing on animals and hope to have experiments on humans by years end. Keep an eye on the results for the animal tests.

I like the whole direct methanol fuel cell technology play. Standard lithium-ion batteries have been maxed out and with technology getting smaller and devices demanding more memory and computing power I feel methanol fuel cell batteries are the next step. They also hold a charge far longer than lithium ion batteries. Also they got a huge order from Japan recently and plan to sell the batteries to the military in 2008. Their partners include Duracell & Samsung. The stock is at a bottom (5/21) I feel so it's a good buy at this price. Purely spec but big upside I feel.

Just launched a new skin tag removal kit. Stock is trading at a low (5/22). Why deal with the hassle of getting a surgery done when you can use their product in your own home instead. It's far cheaper and the tag is removed in 3 days! Also they have no competition. http://ww1.prweb.com/releases/2007/5/prweb526099.htm

TSO
Tesoro Corp - $13.97
- -5.03%
- $14.55
TSOGF Is the USA ticker symbol I believe but in Canada we call it TOG (TriStar Oil & Gas Ltd.). Yet as it happens TSOGF is not a valid symbol either. I could say it's an anti Canada conspiracy but I will just use the Canadian ticker symbol TOG... which apparently is being rejected as well.. :( I'll just use TSO since its close to TSOGF. That being said I really like the recent proposed merger with them and RER (Real Resources INC). They are oil drillers in Western Canada. According to the below article US demand for CDN oil will double in 8 years http://calsun.canoe.ca/Business/2007/06/26/4290792-sun.html Real had total revenues of $214 million last year ($23 million profit). Tristar had total revenues of $57.7 million in 2006 ($6 million profit). By combining they should be very profitable and Alberta oil is booming. Only concern is if the NDP or Liberals get power then I would be careful. But as long as Harper is in power its a solid buy IMO. Trust the Canadian on this one.... TSOGF!

GTF
Cytomedix Inc New - $0.46

Adding GTF to the mix. I used to be in the medical field and I can tell you eliminating the need for sutures is big. Reduced wound healing times, decreased post-op pain, increased success in medical device implants are the benefits of this product. Stock is cheap (5/23) and near a low. http://www.medgadget.com/archives/2007/05/customized_plateletgel_enters_the_wonderful_world_of_wound_healing.html
