GE
Gen Electric Co - $15.83
- +0.32%
- $15.94
World-wide operations, best managed corporation; in the fileds and should catch the most recent global industrial trends before anyone else. Reasonably priced; pretty good dividend for patient investors to wait for the whole world to realize the value.

-
CVS
Cvs Caremark Cp - $30.00
- +0.47%
- $30.15
I bought it way back last year when the Wal-Mart $4 generic drug scared off so many people. Merged with Caremark definitly was a good catalyst for price to move up significantly.

-
MOT
Motorola Inc - $8.77
- -0.90%
- $8.91
Carl Icahn in the game; reasonable price; lots of cash; Cell phone is a fashion + cyclical business - it made RAZR, and should not be to far-fetched to assume that MOT can make another hot cell phone some time later. When that happen price should have a pop. Also one of the first player in the WiMax equipment.

-
TEVA
Teva Pharmaceutic - $52.56
- -0.40%
- $53.25
Look at all the big pharmas - PFE, MKR, etc. All t heir patents are expiring. People still need medicines and who is going to provide those medicines (although at lower prices)? - Generic drug makers and TEVA is one of the biggest in the whole world. Good demographical trend - in developed world populations are aging and they need more medicines. Generics plays well to this trend. Long term holding.

TYC
Tyco Intl Ltd Sw - $34.88

- $35.03
Wait for spun-offs to go their own ways - like the healthcare as well as TEL.

ODP
Office Depot Inc - $6.47
- +0.15%
- $6.52
with pe ratio less than 10 while other similar retailers have pe of 15 (SP 500 is around 15 now), and office supply is pretty much a stable business, the earning would be very stable from now (though I don't expect much growth going forward). Bought some for placeholder - and research cash flow and debt - if they're attractive, then potentially will be good candidate for LBO (I would buy one if deal is good). So keep watching

A. Was planning on buying it last week
after it tanked below 28.90, but decided
to hold off to see how the stock
performed for a few days after the bad
news. Should have bought; would have had
a one and a half point gain. In spite of
the bad news, financials still look
decent with a 10.7 forward PE and a 38%
earnings increase for the latest
quarter. However, they do carry a
significant amount of debt.
A. The only one I own : SLX,
too hard pick a winner out all of them
