Significant current holdings. This is a portfolio of securities which can be purchased on US exchanges (or US mutual funds). There is a bias toward stocks which are cheap on a P/S, P/CF, or P/E basis. Also a bias toward dividends and foreign income.

Avoids using mutual funds for domestic exposure--uses individual stocks instead.

long EMC/short VMW trade now closed out--that worked out nicely.

I bought this a few years ago when it was very cheap because it was overleveraged. Now I have massive gains that I don't want to take all at once. I've sold most of it, but it has gone up so much it is still a large holding. I still like it, but I don't expect huge gains 10/26 Just sold some Feb 65 calls against my position after the Kerkorian announcement--didn't sell that many, maybe I'll sell more when I have a better idea what is going on. Covered the calls on the recent weakness after the poison pill was announced.

Undervalued when I bought it, waiting for Kraft spinoff. I like dividend paying stocks. Good foreign income. Bought more on 2/27 on weakness. I own a lot of it, but I would buy more if it fell much further on general market condiitions. Sold some in early August, still have a lot. Bought back a big chunk on weakness 2/8. It is both defensive and has the international spinoff coming, so it seems like a good idea right now--div currently over 4%. Can't buy any more--that takes me up to my limit.

Vista should help a bit with earnings. I expect it will also reduce piracy somewhat. Large foreign revenue stream--I like non-dollar revenue streams. Sold some recently as it went up, but I might buy it back if it falls again.

Natural gas drilling is underappreciated at the moment. Has almost fallen enough (7/27) to buy more, but not quite yet, I think. Bought more (10/5) Close to a full position now. Bought more (10/20). Bought more (10/30) I don't know why I wrote I was close to full before, I'm probably still only at about 80% of max, but I am buying in 5% increments now. I bought some more in November, but I don't remember exactly when.

My favorite oil stock. I bought a bunch after the Burlington acquisition because even though they overpaid I think nat gas is going to be very valuable, and the stock had been penalized too much. I sold some recently because I had too much energy, but I will be looking to buy it back. Just bought a little more (7/26)

Bought it when it fell after disappointing earnings. Natural gas is being undervalued. I did not like or understand their secondary offering, but generally management seems to have been sensible.

I have always liked this company, it seems like it should be a good business, and I expect margins will improve. If they don't it will be a mistake.

(note--this symbol doesn't work anymore (it is the French symbol)--the ADR no longer trades on the NYSE, nor under this symbol. This is a turnaround that has now been underway for a while. I bought it a few years ago just after it appeared it wasn't going to go bankrupt--it was selling for a incredibly low P/S, and I figured if they could get the debt under control eventually it would make money. They have been selling assets ever since, and they are still very reasonably priced, but the balance sheet is now quite a bit better. I still think it is OK, but I haven't bought any above 2. Maybe I should, but I own a reasonable amount Sold a little at the beginning of August.
