They have a nice market position in Ethanol production. Fortune 1000 company with good research department and paying a nice dividend for a large cap value/growth stock. Their positioning with green fuel technologies gives them a good position for strong growth especially as the remaining 20 or so states execute legislation forcing ethanol mixes into the gas supply instead of the dated and very corrosive chemicals mixed to make summer and winter gas used today.

Come On, Energy is probably the most important issue in the world today. AMSC is builder and producer of wind generators. However, unlike GE not everyone in the world knows about them. They are not profitable and no doubt are speculative but the most impressive story behind this company is not Wind Energy at all. It is the proprietary software they have that specifically helps to maximize the pathway efficiency of electrical grids. Wind is long term but can you think of anything more short term important then making sure every bit of the electricity we already produce gets to where it needs with least resistant and loss.

Phen Phen lawsuits were a joke and the drug was never proven to cause the heart problems. The appeals of some of those lawasuits are likely to bring smaller settlement costs. Beyond the prescription drug production, which is good, their position in what I call consumer neccessary drugs such as ADVIL give them a nice value stream plus their late 1997-98 purchase of American Home Products gives them a nice diversification in consumer durables and food products such as Hielmans, Best Foods Mayonaise. Plus I think they are still small enough to be a good buyout candidate for one of the bigger drug makers but I am confident given their fundamentals they will get a premium offer rather then market value.

Nice Globally Positioned Company and an 07 that looked great with 23% increase in gross Revenue on a 10% increase in net revenue and a Increase in the Share Price of 25% year over year. Next phase in the company's strategy, focusing on increased investment in research and development and accelerated revenue growth. I have a few questions about a P/E ratio above 20 but company still paying a consistent dividend.

Basic economics, if we can only produce 81 million barrels a day world wide and the current world demand is surpassing 82 million then the price has no where to go but up. As much as I want to see it bid fuels aren't within 3 years of impacting the market demand. In addition Green activist groups won't let refineries be built in the U.S. so even if our production of oil increase our refineries don't have the capcity. Production remains flat as demand increases then price pressure is upward. Why ETF? Why not have a position in all facets of this industry.

I don't care what any one says. This is now the third largest GROWTH ORIENTED company in the world. POWER GENERATION, WATER, INFRASTRUCTURE. I know that NBC doesn't get it but 8 years ago CBS didn't get it either.

Simply said in this market the 8% yield is great they have had relatively favorable outcomes in tobacco lawsuits and truthfully I don't believe Douglas Heilman (I know I butchered the spelling) has been fully valued. Plus they have a ton of cash and additional Prudential Assets as well as tons of other opportunities are cheap compared to a few years ago.

I know everyone hates this company but on speculation I like any company whose CEO takes a 1 million dollar salary and puts all his eggs into options at prices relatively close to the current value of the stock. That is a confident CEO. Plus they didn't loose all that many subscribers and the Internet Trading world is still growing. All speculation nothing real behind this one.
