My picks for good performance in 2008.

-
MSFT
Microsoft Corpora - $29.22
- -1.91%
- $29.01
I think MSFT has become undervalued based on existing and new growth prospects, and I think the dividend remains a draw for institutional investors. Way undervalued at $28ish. Dec 2008 PT of 36

-
RIG
Transocean Ltd - $84.91
- -1.68%
- $84.00
The global oil story isn't going away anytime soon, and RIGs January stock price in January doesn't reflect current or future earnings value...Dec 2008 PT of 175

-
T
At&t Inc. - $26.99
- -0.33%
- $26.49
AT&T is leading the wireless phone/smartphone group, and has the iPhone. Earnings growth will continue to be strong in 2008, and they still have a 4% dividend. Dec 2008 PT of 45.

-
CROX
Crocs - $5.12
- -1.35%
- $5.00
Unfairly punished in late 2007/early 2008, CROX is still selling like crazy while developing new products. Their products are relatively cheap, and shouldn't be heavily affected by lower consumer spending. Dec 2008 PT of 75.

-
BA
Boeing Co - $52.45
- -0.91%
- $51.35
Boeing is in a situation where they control their own destiny for 2008, and 2009. The orders are there and the money is ready to be made, if they can complete on time. If they do, big upside; if they don't...well? Dec 2008 PT of 110.

-
COP
Conocophillips - $51.92
- -1.85%
- $51.15
This story is kind of a broken record, but I think COP has the best mixture of oil/natural gas exposure. I don't see the price of these resources going down in 2008, whether it's fair or not. Dec 2008 PT of 95.

-
BIIB
Biogen Idec Inc - $46.92
- -1.12%
- $46.20
I think this is a good spec stock that has a high likelihood of getting a bid. High risk and high reward...I think it ends 2008 on the reward side. No PT.

-
FCX
Freeport Mcmoran - $84.14
- -3.64%
- $83.59
There are many choices in this sector, but I think FCX has the right exposures, and is liked by big money. Dec 2008 PT of 120.

A. any forward growth guidance you get from
a company has to be taken with a grain
of salt. dubai was not news 2 days ago,
yesterday it clipped the s n p for 20
points. these are turbulent times and
all forward statements are a guess. 5
year ones are a joke. we've had a really
nice upternd for the last 8 months, that
may be coming to and end or at the very
least its probably gonna get choppy.
you're gonna have to be the judge of the
reliability of any future estimates and
any one stock can have multiple guesses
at theirs.
A. The only one I own : SLX,
too hard pick a winner out all of them
