I start with the iShares South Africa ETF (EZA), which I own because of the excellent performance of the South African stock market. It's current (5/9/2007) holdings are listed at www.morningstar.com.
I want to see if holding the ETF is better than holding individual stocks, and if the latter, which stocks work the best. Then, I add South African based stocks as I find them. I list only stocks that can be traded on the NYSE, AMEX, or NASDAQ, convenient for USA based investors like myself.
