Q. What is a solid, well performing...
12.01.09 | 17:16 PM Asked by Shenaynay

A. Quite a few solid, conservative
corporations paying dividends...Those
currently paying 4% to 6% yield
(inclusive) per year include: T, AEP,
BMY, DD, DUK, GSK, HCP, HCN, HNZ, KFT,
MRK, SE, SO, and VZ.

Those paying 2% to (less than) 4% annual
dividend yield currently would include
ABT, BAX, BHP, BA,CPB, CAT, CLX, CAG,
DE, ETN, EMR, XOM, GE, GIS, HON, JNJ,
KMB, MDT, PEP, PFE, PG, SYY, UN, UTX,
WM, KO, AND WMT.

Companies paying dividends annually of
2% to 4% may seem low...until comparing
them to Treasuries (short, intermediate
and long term) or money market accounts
(CDs).
