Money that otherwise would only be getting 5% in a money market account. Some investments, some trades. Beating 5% is the only goal. I do cut and run and will take profits along the way if any position hits big. Better to pay some taxes then get too greedy. If I don't own it I will include that in my reasons.

The movement here is more predictable then the charts might tell you. Gaming cycle and 1/10/07 NPD numbers were not great. I plan to get in around 51-52 although the quarter won't be great the short squeeze after should send it towards 60. (back on board 5/1)

Earnings just destroyed the estimates. Goldman just seems to print money! Goldman is a 800 pound gorilla and I got in around 171. Up nearly 20% from the time I bought. If this thing hits 240 I think I might bail.(up from my 210 estimate) Well I took some off the table (15%) but this is still a cheap stock with a lot of upside. I said this after Q1 earnings but man oh man who navigates a choppy market better? Hedging the subprime crisis was brilliant so much for selling at 240 this thing is staying in the portfolio for a long time. I wish I had more powder dry to buy during the summer dip. In Blankfein we trust.

Carbon Fiber will be huge over the next 3 years. Airbus delays and Boeing only matter short term. Once they start cranking out the new planes this this takes off for a double from 17-30. Why beacuse Boeing and airbus new planes go from 7% composite materials to 45% composite materials. They have upgraded capacity and will take a first quarter hit in 07 due to the delays in production but long term it won't matter this baby starts to hum.

Micro-Cap while high multiple the Balance sheet has no debt and future growth looks great. I think A quaddruple in 24 months might not be a stretch. Poor management by Brad Edson has seen this thing pop and drop in a really bad way but if you believe in the product long term it should be well priced at.79 to take a small gamble. Till BE Goes this thing will struggle.

I got this from the MO spin off it is a safe value play and has done well going from 31-33.50 in less than a month. Reasonable first earnings call with new CEO. ok dividend. I took half off the table at 33.40. I will likely hold the remaining shares for a while to get next quarters dividend and sell a few covered calls 35 to insulate the downside.

The deal will get done and approved. Jan 2.50 calls are racing here. Think the negativity was already priced in this summer which caused the dip. So if the deal doesn't fly the downside is limited. target price of the common if the deal gets approved should be $5-6 which means almost a 50% upside.
