If anyone has the ability to compete with Ticketmaster, its this well-established promotion company. They have access to the information and habits of a huge base of music fans through their ownership of fan club websites. I'm waiting to hear more about their ticketing business, set to launch at the expiration of thier deal with Ticketmaster. But take into account their recent exclusive deals with Madonna and several others, and their intention to make more of these. I think Live Nation sees the future of the entertainment business, and it is them.
