Stock Picks that I personally own.
This is my high conviction list.
In full disclosures, I have significant gains in many of these firms and have been trading them for a while.

-
ATLS
Atlas Energy - $29.81
- 0.00%
- $N/A
A) Cohen Family - They simply coin money. B) Collect checks from it's ownership of ATN 5.5% yield(driller), AHD 5%yld / APL 9%yld (Pipeline), etc. C) Marcellus Shale - http://geology.com/articles/marcellus-shale.shtml D) Did I mention the Cohen Family?

-
PETD
Petroleum Develop - $19.69
- 0.00%
- $N/A
Previously PDC shared 20% of all drilling with their partnerships. Now they will keep 100% of profits for themselves. On top of this, I believe the cost of keeping it in house with be cheaper than raising through partnerships.

-
ATN
Atn - $0.00
- N/A
- $N/A
Drilling General Partner in the Appalachian Region. Do a web search for "Marcellus Shale". http://geology.com/articles/marcellus-shale.shtml

-
APL
Atlas Pipeline Pt - $7.08
- +3.21%
- $6.90
A) Cohen Family - They simply coin money. B) This is a toll booth for the transport of Natural Gas. C) Marcellus Shale - http://geology.com/articles/marcellus-shale.shtml

-
RSO
Resource Cap Corp - $5.13
- 0.00%
- $N/A
A) Cohen Family -- you want to them on your side -- period. They coin money for a living. B) misunderstood Commercial REIT.

-
REXI
Resource America - $4.05
- -0.74%
- $4.27
A) Cohen Family B) Manager of Assets - The market is not getting the value of this company. They get the benefit of leverage with out the major exposure. They manage the products, they don't directly own them. (yes this is a simplistic summary -- do the research)

-
ETO
Eaton Vance Tax-a - $18.54
- 0.00%
- $N/A
tracks well with the S&P but pays 6% yield. High Integrity - Eaton Vance took it upon themselves to redeem all auction preferred shares in the portfolio. This was a classy move that they were not required to do. Any time the shares trade at a significant discount to NAV it is screaming buy.

-
MO
Altria Group Inc - $19.07
- +1.06%
- $18.88
Plain & Simple. I want the dividend. MO helps balance out my more aggressive stock picks.
