Q. Stockpickrs: Been doing work ...
07.07.08 | 00:52 AM Asked by Kurt Anders

A. Kathy,

From my homework, you are 100% correct.
In the last CC they mentioned their
ability to lock in some commodity costs
until the end of the third quarter this
year. Assuming my thesis is correct, I
see commodity strength through the end
of the summer and then I see a bit of a
correction.... well not correction but
more of a sustainable level without such
rapid increases in shorts amounts of
time.

I have been to several Chipotles in
different regions of the country. Their
pricing differs by region and is nearly
30-40 percent higher in some areas vs.
others. To me, this shows extreme
pricing power and like you said, their
customers are willing to pay more for
quality.

Thanks for your response, I'll see what
others have to say. I've followed the
company for a good year now and feel I
have a pretty good feel for their stock
movement but just want to get some other
thoughts as too many never hurt.
