Blackstone Grp Lp - $15.60

Blackstone is a leader in private equity buyouts. It has the inside track for next few months on deals because of decreasing competition due to credit turmoil - competition had been a nuisance for them. Like the moves in real estate, going overseas to Asia will prove to be fruitful in the next few years. Early drop in price draws comparisons to early trouble in IPO for Goldman Sachs.

How smart are these people? Taking the poor man's guerrilla airwarfare approach to the aerospace industry. Brilliant, I say, brilliant. Why don't the aircraft manufacturers just steal their idea you ask? I should think that they are not in a position to do it as cost effectively. Airplanes are expensive to buy, so lease with Aircastle!!

MAN

Finally opened this position today on news that it has been double downgraded by merrill and UBS. WHAT ARE THEY THINKING? I see a company adequately leveraged to foreign countries that the brokers are placing too much weight on the credit problems that seem to be looming but yet to really materialize. If the stock tumbles at this point I am just going to buy more, anything under $70 is cheap for this stock right now. Opened 22 shares @ $68.39, because it will probably go lower before rebounding by the end of the year. 09/04/07

Another fav of Cramer's, perhaps I am overly enthusiastic, but I plan on holding this one for a while. Bought on a dip at $4.86 on Sept. 6 amid recession concerns over negative but not overwhelmingly so news on employment - which I really don't see impacting lvlt at this point. September seems to always be a down month for stocks. Note to self: look at past performances in September for other stocks.
