This fund has a Morningstar rating of 5 stars and is run by Zachary Shafran. Shafran is senior vice president of IICO and WRIMCO, vice president of Ivy Funds, Inc. and vice president of other investment companies for which WRIMCO serves as investment manager. Shafran has served as a portfolio manager for investment companies managed by WRIMCO since January 1996. He served as an investment analyst with WRIMCO and its predecessor from June 1990 to January 1996. Waddell & Reed Advisors Science and Technology Fund is an open-end fund incorporated in the USA. The Fund's objective is long-term capital growth. The Fund invests primarily in the equity securities of U.S. and foreign science and technology companies whose products, processes or services are expected to be significantly benefited by scientific discovery.
