This fund is currently run by Joel Fried. Fried is executive vice president of PRIMECAP Management Company. He joined PRIMECAP Management Company in June 1986. Prior to joining PRIMECAP, he spent one year as a financial analyst with Hughes Investment Management Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hughes Aircraft. Vanguard PRIMECAP Core Fund is an open-end fund incorporated in the USA. The Fund's objective is to provide long-term capital appreciation. The Fund invests in stocks of companies whose future earnings potential is not considered to be reflected in their current market prices.
The fund has rank in the top 5% of all funds in its category of large growth funds for the last six months, the last year, and the last three years.
