A. Fair Value is a measure of the
relationship between the actual value of
an index and the spot price of the
index. If the futures are above fair
value, it is an indication that traders
believe that the value off the index is
going higher. If the futures are below
fair value, it is an indication that
traders believe that the value of the
index is headed lower.

Generally, for the DJIA each point of
the futures above fair value is good for
about 8 points on the DJIA.
