I select stocks in this portfolio by combining my own fundamental researh, recommendations from Cramer, Fool, and Jubak (the subtle battle between Cramer and the Fool makes for some interesting picks), and technical analysis (charting).
I was one of E*TRADE's first customers and have survived the market downturns and failed to pull the trigger and get rich at the market tops. Trading stocks provides a nice second income and is a hobby.
I consider myself a swing trader and tend to hold stocks from one day to several months. Although I kick myself for not being a long term investor when I see charts that triple or quadruple over time, I can't resist taking a nice run from support into resistance.
I also sell short ocassionally.
I hope my picks help and look forward to learning from others with this fantastic service.

-
SHLD
Sears Holdings Co - $67.65
- +1.14%
- $67.36
Couldn't resist owning a piece of the next BRK.A. Have been "in sync" with this stock and have traded the ranges well from the $120 level.

-
NYX
Nyse Euronext - $26.87
- +2.67%
- $25.92
Intrigued by owning a piece of this historic company. Also liked the chart.

-
AGN
Allergan Inc - $59.25
- +0.15%
- $58.64
Like the low valuation and the long term trend of aging baby boomers wanting to stay young. Also like the news of being able to sell and market breast implants again.

-
TM
Toyota Mtr Cp Ads - $78.16
- -3.00%
- $77.89
Like the trend of TM taking share while F and GM are struggling.

-
JNJ
Johnson And Johns - $60.30
- +0.53%
- $59.94
Like the growth prospects, dividend, Cramer's recommendation, and the recent analyst upgrade.

-
RIG
Transocean Ltd - $85.40
- -0.50%
- $84.65
I think oil will find a bottom around 50. Long term, the world is growing and the oil supply is limited. Also like the big pullback. Bought near the bottom.

-
CNE
Cairn Energy Plc - $0.00
- 0.00%
- $N/A
This one is an experiment. I own this in a small IRA that I can't add to anymore. I bought too high on the pop Cramer gave it. Will try to hold for several years for the dividends and hopefully some stock price appreciation.

ENT
Enterra En Tr - $1.47
- -2.65%
- $1.48
