Since I live in LA and I see the huge latin/hispanic influence in the area, I was thinking of stocks that could capitalize on their population boom. I always hear about emerging markets outside the US, but what about the markets here in the US that are emerging with different cultures....
I know of a few and I am unsure some of these would be any good. All the immigrants I know are big consumers of little things, so I am not sure this is such a great idea or not. I'll put a list for fun. It needs a health care stock and some help, any help...ha ha!
For the purposes of this, my word "latin" means Mexican, Central American and South American. I know some Mexicans don't like being called "latin" and same with the rest - so I mean no disrespect. In fact, I love your culture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Me Gusta!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wrote this one in because like in my portfolio, I live near Disneyland and go quite often, at any given time, 1/2 the park is full of immigrants/hispanic/latin kids/parents.

I couldn't think of a stock that would hit the housing boom this group will need in the future. You know downtown LA is undergoing a boom in construction and most of the workers are illegal or recent immigrants.
