A. Often overlooked and not cited is a
study by Elizabeth Warren regarding how
the 'family' income has been drastically
altered from just one generation ago.

One generation ago the average family
could get by quite well on one salary;
whereas, today the family usually gets
by with two wage earners. The jest of
the study is that the two wage earner
family is more precariously positioned
than prior generations.

Also, it is the big ticket items that
significantly differentiate between the
current/contemporary family and prior
generations . . . The significant
amount of funds are allocated for a home
and the price of transportation . . .
not food, clothing, and entertainment.
