Even if refining profitability gets cut in half over the next year, and earnings come down by half, this stock is still inexpensive, refiners have not been the most efficient operators in the past. But nowadays these companies are seeing higher margins from biodiesel and other environmentally friendly fuels. It is almost impossible to build a new refinery in the United States, and as a result of increasing demand for refined energy products, all U.S. refiners should be well-positioned for secular growth. VLO IS CHEAP & A STRONG BUY!!! $70 by December 2007

Oil companies are still making money at $50 bbl oil. that money has to be spent on oil drilling and oil is harder to find and deeper. Low PEG and strong eps growth. a bargain at current prices for the sector in general. Even if oil stays flat, these companies will see demand as Day rates rise and rigs are limited and need service.

Oil drilling as with the OIH oil service etf has longterm fundamentals that are positive, as world energy demand continues to rise and the shortage of rigs continues. Trading at the lower end of it's p/e range and with 2007 eps estimates at $6.96 and 2008 at $8.32 this stock is a double in 2 years. BUY!
