Here is a list of possible stocks for the CNBC contest. It consists of 2 groups of stocks. All had greater than $500M market caps on March 2 which is necessary for the contest. The first type on this list are stocks less than $10 with high short interest ratios and insider buying. The idea is maybe there will be a short squeeze given that insiders are buying and in most cases the stock is already down heavy on the year. The second group consists of stocks where there is an activist hedge fund trying to unlock value right now. Hopefully between the 2 groups we can see some snapback over teh next week.
