This is a smaller rig rental company but the rigs are newer and more maneuverable than rigs at Transocean and Diamond Offshore though they appear to be well positioned as well

BHP Billiton big new gold find and the largest resource company in the world. many resources uranium as well

China Life. Strong growth play and have already reaped good profite. Feel there is good story with China slowly becoming for affluent in need of insurance and financial services. The biggest in China and holds a commanding foothold position over its competitors.

Diogeo: Big boy in the booze biz. Moves like a big lumbering elephant, but just seems to keep movin. Best in class it seems to me and likely a long term international core holding in my folio.

Diversified Canadian communications and media company. Cable, telecom, wireless, rado, tv. Seem to be top dog in Canada in this field. Got the tip from Cramer, looks great on the charts, but has a high pe, strong position to competitors as best I can tell, though I can't claim much insight into this Canadian industry, ... other than strong remarks by Jimbo. Canadian currency advantage if it flies. Popped the trigger recently with a small bullet and if I still like it after some gain I may buy more.

Dentply International; Designs, develops, manufactures and market a wide range of dental product worldwide. These guys are best in class it seems to me. Alwasy developing and keeping a step ahead. A slow but steady mover kind of like Diageo DEO (the booze boys) mentioned above, and another core holding in my port. Most people still want their teeth .. I guess, and these guys make it easier for the dentist and the patients.

Psychiatric Solutions; Has shown improved earnings and outperformed expections for an extended period. Provides assistance for children as well as adults and psychiatric disorders appear to not only be on the rise but people are going for assistance more readily now than in the past.
