These are the stock picks I have researched and either own or am watching for potential purchase.

-
SBUX
Starbucks Cp - $9.99
- -4.95%
- $10.24
There is always a line out the door at my local 'bucks. This place has received a license to print money. I see them hitting $46 within 12-18 months. They are a steal at under $30 a share. I purchased 200 shares at $26.76ea. early Aug 2007.

-
PMI
P M I Group Inc - $1.97
- -16.88%
- $2.32
This is a stock that has been hammered by the sub-prime lending debacle. They have not seen substantial losses, but their shares have been unfairly dragged down. I see them back up over 40 once this housing thing turns around. I see them peaking over $50 within 2 years. I purchased 210 shares (all I could afford at the time) at $29.70 mid-Aug 2007.

-
THC
Tenet Hlthcre Cp - $3.79
- -5.25%
- $3.89
Everyone is down on THC, except Jeb Bush. He joined the Board of Directors, a group that has been snapping up THC stock at record lows. I purchased 1600 shares at $3.31 each in September 2007. I was planning on holding these for a good long time.. or until they reached my anticipated high of $18. But, then I saw a ton of bad press on THC the same day of my purchase and saw the stock drop significantly in the following days.. well, let's just say I got squeamish. So, after a good day, the next morning, I saw it drop fast. I watched it slowly (painfully) move back up to even money, I put in an order to sell 1/2 my shares (800) at $3.51 and the sale went through just as the intraday peaked, then it closed, down 2 cents. $160 in my pocket. I still hold 800 shares and I may well keep them until THC reaches $18... we'll see. Maybe I don't have the stomach for day trading! 9-17-07 update: I opened a Zecco account last week and deposited $6000. I purchased 3000 shares of THC at $3.15, then sold them at $3.20. I took a tidy $150 profit.. coulda been $480 if I had held out for $3.26. Damn!

-
ENZ
Enzo Biochem Inc - $5.21
- -5.96%
- $5.37
This one is an odd duck. It has taken a beating of late due to an unexpected court decision. The funny thing is, they are the ones that are have a really good suit against ABI (Applied Bio Systems Group) for copyright infringement. So, the stocks of BOTH complanies are in a marked decline now. It is not like ENZ is being sued. It is not like the future of ENZ depends upon this suit either. ENZ has over 200 bio-patents and 180+ more pending. They are a great value at under $15 a share. I picked up 800 shares at $12 each today. A steal. I anticipate they will be back above $18 and onward toward $20 a share within a year. This one is a real no-brainer. Do your own research and see for yourself.
