This set of stocks represents my first portfolio following recent graduation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Although I did not concentrate my undergraduate studies in business or finance, I am fascinated by the potential payoff to original insight on Wall Street. This portfolio is my first attempt to enter the market tournament with a small sum of money.

ELOS
Syneron Medical L - $11.08

- $11.18
I think aesthetic improvement is something to bet on in modern society. I included ELOS in my portfolio after a number of OTM call options appreciated significantly prior to an earnings announcement in Feb.

CVTI
Covenant Transpor - $4.71
- 0.00%
- $N/A
The trucking company is undergoing expansion and transformation, so the stock has recently traded below its historic average. Also, the founder is holding onto loads of unexercised call options.

ADBL

The market (and people in general) underestimate the importance of spoken content: oratory, e-books, etc. The "fun" of entertainment often relates to how interesting it sounds, although people fail to realize this because sight is our dominant sense. Thus, I consider Audible's service an undervalued one. I think its catalog of audio (combined with the convenience of its website) will attract more subscribers in 2007. Also, Apple's iPhone is compatible with Audible's service!
