Thanks for checking me out. I focus on the business cycle. I look for growth, value, dividend, and specualtion. I am a value investor by modern definitions in that I have a 1-5 year time frame on stocks I buy. I also play leap options on quality names. This portfolio is my current play and key positions. I have a few other positions I am just now adding that are only a fraction of the portfolio, I will list them later once they are beyond 5% of my portfolio.

GS
Goldman Sachs Grp - $179.85
- +1.89%
- $178.03
cheap at $200. best run broker with a huge buy back that has at least another year to go. I see 2008 earnings at 30.60. At 10X E. That is over $300. If financials come back into favor next year GS could reach a M of13X or $400 by year end. Bought Aug 2007 at $168

PVCT.OB
Provectus Pharma - $0.90

- $N/A
Speculation play. biotech on cancer drugs. Base chemistry "Rose Bengal" has been around for decades and is proven non-deleterious to humans. Several products from this chemical in pipeline. Board and mangement list is a "who's who" in R&D biotech. I see a 2-3 year window for big gains. FDA has given orphan drug status which historically gives an 86% chance for approval. Current market cap of approx 100M is cheap compared to any company with an approved cancer drug. Next cheapest is 650M market cap. I see a 1.5-2B cap in 3-5 years. Bought Jan 2007 at $1.20

RIG
Transocean Ltd - $89.83
- +1.50%
- $89.55
gsf and rig merger is huge, I feel it will replace SLB as the must have driller in the next year. Dividend is not bad either. Earnings visibility for years out. At 10X 2008 earnings, It's dirt cheap. Bought Sept 2006 $69.50

-
MKL
Markel Cp Hldg Co - $330.00
- +0.64%
- $328.27
baby berkshire, insurance play. On the annual and quartery report, their mission is to increase book value. I do not like that the CIO has not had an original idea on invsting. He only piggy backs Buffett's buys. Still, the formula is working. Bought Nov 2006 $398.

C

discount to growth rate and VMWare coupon is unvelievable. Expecting 50% move by end of 2008 if VMW's growth is sustainable. I prefer the parent to the sub since I am generally a value buyer.

A. BGF was an enhanced income security,
which represented one share of common
stock (BGS) plus $7.15 principal amount
of senior subordinated debt. They first
separated the note from the stock, then
did a partial redemption of the bond.
You should have received the following
for each share of BGF
1 share common (BGS)
$4.28 cash per share for the partial
redemption (this includes dividend)
1 note with face value of $3.11
There really is no market for the bond
portion. You will probably end up
holding it until redemption.
Hope that helps.
A. The only one I own : SLX,
too hard pick a winner out all of them
