1st of all, dont confuse this with AAR company which is ticker AIR. This is the preferred shares of AMR-American Airlines. With rates going nowhere in the next 12 mos, here is a no brainer way to get 8% yield on a preferred selling at a discount. American has 5 billion cash in the bank and will make over 500 mil profit in 2007. The common stock is a dog and tied to oil prices and increasing labor strife that will crush it in 2008-2009. But for the next 12 mos..its 8% preferred is safe bet and then get out.
