WNR
Western Refining - $5.01
- -7.05%
- $5.42
Price and geographic location. This stock was $66.00 in July 07. Its at its low. I own 2000 shares, and will buy 1000 more if it goes below $10 in May 08. Gasoline is 1.61 a liter or $6.44/gal in Australia, one of the best economies in the world. Americans are in for a shock. WNR services the Phoenix area as well as Southern California. This is the fastest growing area in the US. El Paso, TX, Riverside, CA, Yorktown, VA as well as the four corners region WNR has refining facilities. They have an asphalt business and over 100 convenience stores. Location is excellent for WNR if a hurricane enters the Gulf. They are right next to the Permian Basin Oil Field of West Texas for crude supply for their El Paso facility. With room for cheaper expansion than the Gulf Coast, this company will only get better. Next to water, gasoline with be the most used liquid by humans over the next three years. Even more than alcohol. We can't make enough and the price has nowhere to go but up.
