11/11/07: I know their product, and it's fantastic--one of the best SANs I've ever seen. I don't know enough about the *business* to know whether or not they can execute and/or generate profits on their gear. May wait till the January rotation out of tech to get in...

11/11/07: Was thinking about picking this up on valuation. Boy am I glad I'm too lazy to get to it before now. Like it as a recovery story or as a potential takeover, even.

11/11/07: Going to let this one come WAY in before I touch it. Would like to see Rubin booted, too. I think the div's getting cut, too. Won't think about it unless it's south of 25 or I get a much better feel for the company. Would rather take a pass than take a beating on this one.

----- 12/12/07: Stock's been hammered lately. Gonna see if it puts a bottom in or craters completely... ----- 11/11/07: A little biotech studying capsaicin (the hot stuff in peppers) as a pain reliever. I know there are already OTC meds built on it, so these guys are the prescription-strength version. Has treatments awaiting approval in Europe. Currently watching to gauge how the stock trades. Like the concept a lot, willing to speculate on it. Think it may go up soon.

----- 12/12/07: Done deal. Long SIRI common and Jan 4 calls. This entry will be removed next time I update this port... ----- 11/11/07: Like it ahead of the merger as a trade. Was hoping to get it to come in more in the recent market troubles. Missed my chance to get in under $3.30 because a deposit didn't post in time. Grr... May end up taking a pass on this one if it doesn't come back inside $3.40.

----- 12/12/07: $17.50 Liking this financial. Everybody says they're short subprime, stock trades well, and I just found it's got a 11% yield. Haven't done a ton of work on it, yet. I like this like I like GLS. I think this may come in a little, but I could be a buyer around 17 unless the story changes.

A. My answer may disappoint you.
(1) Hedge funds are secretive. I
interviewed with some and they do not
even has a sign. Hard to get to talk to
them
(2) IB more visible if you find some
friends
(3) I think Fed is open at least to High
school orgnanized trip, but less
interesting
(4) It was closed to public Last time I
visited NYC 3 years ago.
Still interesting to find thestreet.com
crew or NASDAQ fast money set at time
square. Have a nice trip
