Peninsula Capital Management was founded in 1989 and operates as a limited liability company investing primarily in common equity of domestic companies. Peninsula manages just under one billion in assets and seeks positive and superior returns in both up and down markets with an emphasis on preservation of capital. The firm is focused on achieving long-term capital appreciation through investments in under-followed, growth companies with low valuations in industries with improving fundamentals. Part of the process also includes elements of investment banking for companies in the portfolio. Peninsula identifies compelling investment opportunities by utilizing fundamental research in developing financing ideas, building constructive relationships with management teams, and managing risk.
Peninsula is managed by four principals including Scott Bedford, Jason Harris, Mike Ogborne, and Pete Schleider. In total, there are nine employees involved in the investment process. Peninsula has consistently delivered outstanding results and has been one of the best performing managers since its inception.
