The long awaited announcement of the PMI spinoff is soon coming, but I don't think this is necessarily an impetus to buy MO. The stock is very cheap and is great to own especially in a volatile environment. Given the relative strength of consumer discretionary stocks recently, MO should be a safe haven for skittish investors. Rating: Strong Buy

The stock seems to breakout and pullback in equally violent fashions, and it is recovering nicely from nearly a 30 point pullback. AAPL remains a volatile stock to own, but all of its businesses are hitting on all cylinders; the iPhone has just begun to contribute to its sucess, but the iMac and iPod continue to impress. It's tough to assign a price target, but the stock doesn't stay in one place for too long. Rating: Strong Buy

I had maintained that $50 was important psychologically, and while there are still doubts about the financial sector, BAC is looking like a solid value play. The yield is tremendous and any sort of good news sends the banks and brokerages higher. That said, it's impossible to play the credit markets, and this industry remains tricky. Rating: Hold
