7:30..this one I went to...here is my notes..This is Insulin Diabetic Pump...I like this...they have an easy no tube pump that doesn't look like a pump....looks like a meter and a circle of plastic...they are building a National Sales Force only 1 yr in place...they are in FDA testing on a new pump that will download info to the doctor. They have move production to China and margin is getting great. Pumps are the way to go with this disease cuz so many forget the shot or have to bother with it....most doctors would love the pump. Issue is reimbursement....the CEO says they are the Market Leader in this sector...their real competition is if anyone can come up with one smaller. They have small clinical testing to show that their pumps works....you Attach it to the body and it stays there until it is empty...you never disconnect it from the body...the fact there is no tube makes it work better....HEY guys did you see that the Indices broke support this morning...big ouch..work with LLY and the studies are looking good...Germany France has reimbur so they are focusing on getting stronger there....Canada Govt is making money for Pumping. They are also working with "unnamed" big Pharma companies about using the pump to deliever other drugs other then insulent. Next few weeks will be discussing Women Preg Diabet.....they can't discuss the qtr....but 2008 Great Qtr....and 2009 he is really really excited....either he is a Great Actor or the qtr is going to be very good....good one for the radar.

7:30..Under 3.00 drug stock that is having problems when they had to recall..newest problems..The lawsuits charge KV and certain of its officers and directors with violations of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. KV engages in the development, manufacture, acquisition, marketing, and sale of branded and generic/nonbranded prescription pharmaceutical products. According to the complaints, defendants made materially false and misleading statements about KV's compliance with federal regulations concerning the manufacture and marketing of certain generic drug products as well as the Company's current and future financial prospects. Specifically, defendants failed to disclose: (i) that KV's manufacturing facilities were in disarray resulting in the manufacture of unsafe drug products that would have to be recalled due to the fact that they may contain oversized tablets that may contain more than the intended levels of the active drug ingredient, which could result in patients receiving as much as about twice the expected dosage of these drugs; (ii) that KV's management engaged in misconduct by failing to recall the Company's unsafe drug products; (iii) that KV's manufacturing facilities failed to comply with federal regulations, including FDA requirements and guidelines, generally referred to as current "Good Manufacturing Practices"; (iv) that manufacturing disruptions and inefficiencies were resulting in a material backlog of unshipped customer orders, thus further eroding the Company's revenues and earnings; (v) that the Company failed to write off at least $24 million in inventories of discontinued products, seized by the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri due to defendants' violation of FDA enforcement notices; (vi) that KV's post-January 2008 sales of generics were being negatively impacted by material price erosion following the expiration of the Company's exclusive sales period for the drug metoprolol succinate; (vii) that KV's financial statements failed to comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles; and (vii) that, based on the foregoing, defendants lacked a reasonable basis for their current and future financial prospects

7:30..From Washington Journal...Human Genome Sciences Inc. expects its revenue will surge five-fold this year to at least $250 million. The Rockville-based biotech announced on Monday that it is counting on delivery of an anthrax treatment to the U.S. government for at least $150 million of that forecast. Human Genome said it had met every milestone under its contract to provide the treatment, ABthrax, and only requires Federal Drug Administration authorization to begin delivery. H. Thomas Watkins, president and chief executive officer, said: “We are confident we will deliver 20,000 doses of ABthrax to the U.S. Strategic National Stockpile early in the year and will receive at least $150 million in revenues in 2009.” The expected increase in revenues would dramatically alter Human Genome’s cash burn, dropping it to less than $25 million in 2009 from approximately $245 million in 2008. Human Genome said it had $365 million in cash and investments at the end of 2008. Human Genome stock could use a boost. The shares (NASDAQ: HGSI) have lost 84 percent of their value in the last 12 months, closing Friday at $1.88.Human Genome stock surged on the news. The shares (NASDAQ: HGSI) rallied as much as 72 cents, 38 percent, in early Monday trading to $2.60. The stock price is still 80 percent lower than it was 12 months ago

7:30..before the conf they release this press release..NEW YORK (AP) -- Shares of biotechnology company InterMune Inc. rose Monday after the company reported positive results from early-stage studies of its hepatitis C drug candidate in combination with two other treatments. Related Quotes Symbol Price Change IDIX 5.99 +0.46 ITMN 10.88 +1.18 VRTX 31.53 +2.05 {"s" : "idix, itmn, vrtx","k" : "c10,l10,p20,t10","o" : "","j" : ""} The stock rose 43 cents, or 4.8 percent, to close at $9.40. It has traded from $8.89 to $20.09 over the last 52 weeks. Brisbane, Calif.-based InterMune said results from all six completed Phase 1b clinical trials shows ITMN-191 treated the virus, or reduced the viral load in patients. Early-stage studies are not often used to measure a drug's effectiveness, as they are typically too small to yield sufficient results. The studies are typically only used to assess safety and dosing, though investors were looking out for any indication the drug might be competitive in what could be a crowded field of treatments. ITMN-191 is currently in midstage development while its potential competitor made by Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc., telaprevir, is already in late-stage development. Vertex shares fell 39 cents, or 1.3 percent, to $29.52. Elsewhere in the growing field, Cambridge, Mass.-based Idenix Pharmaceuticals Inc. has a possible hepatitis C drug in development.

8...went to this one...here are my notes on it...CVD Just posted PODD on JJC blog...CEO is on...talking about global CRO's....he believes Outsourcing is going to grow and that R and D will grow by the big boys and SG and A will be cut....wonder though if the big boys are going on a shopping spree buying up proven pipeline..wonder if they will even focus so much on pre-clinical?? (FWIW)....They are focusing on growing the Late Stage Development,..and it is the fastest growing...management phase 11b and 111 trials...ROW..they have a central lab..(actually this late stage would play into the big boys that like to buy smaller names at that level it seems)....you know they start at 7:30...and every 1/2 hour a new CEO and a new room to run to....I am in the Big Room...Ballroom...room is only half full at best...CVD says that they may cost more for them to do the studies but they can do it faster so they shouldn't care about the pennies saved...they are the "go to" guys to come up with ideas for patent extension...LLY was a BIG contract for them...10 year 1.6B service contract...Phase 11 and IV...yep...LLY also moved a lot of their employees to CVD (interesting)...can't tell from CEO if he is happy with near future earnings or not...if I had to bet I wouldn't violate Fight club on it...fwiw...2009 flat eps for the first half....they are going to consolitate a couple of their facilities and have costs in the first of 2009 and the LLY won't be giving that much....they are planning to scale down Cap X as soon as they are done with 5 major projects that they can't stop in midstream.
