Q: Let's talk specifically about some of your on-demand software picks. A: I would highlight Blackboard [BBBB], which is timely because they reported quarterly results recently and there was confusion surrounding the report, which has provided a buying opportunity.

Q: Any other picks along these lines? A: Another educational play would be Skillsoft [SKIL], which is focused on corporate education and training. Skillsoft is more of a re-emerging growth story than a pure emerging-growth story. The company has been around for a long time.

Q: Is that it for education ideas? A: This one is not a stock that is inexpensive by any stretch, but it is an emerging leader in the online education space: Capella Education [CPLA], an online-only education provider.

Q: ALet's move on to your VoIP ideas. A: A company we like there very much is Interactive Intelligence [ININ], based in Indianapolis.
