Date updated:02-21-2008
I am currently in cash. I have made two trades in the 2008. I made a few dollars in TAP and lost a few in RIMM. I'm down about 2-3 dollars. Basicly, I have broken even so far. Everyone seems to like health care. If the fed doesn't cut rates I might just pick one up, and just ride it out for a while.

TAP
Molson Coors Co C - $44.83
- -0.31%
- $44.94
Molson-Coors. The other domestic alcohol producer. It wants to increase marketshare and it opened a new brewery to help with its production.I think this will trade like a recession play if things slow down. Edit: TAP at 45.00 bucks as of today (1/23/08). You have to buy some at this price. It's cheap.

X
United States Ste - $38.08
- -1.63%
- $38.56
United States Steel. Man this stock has been doing nicely as of late. It's too bad I sold out of it at 107 before the big sell off. I should have jumped back in a 98 bucks like Guy said on fast money.

-
BIDU
Baidu - $428.12
- +0.53%
- $425.25
It's got everything. It's got the Chinese Growth behind it. It's got the Google search engine thing going for it. I would buy it every chance I could at 350 and ride it back up to 400. Edit: BIDU at 329. Monday morning is going to be interesting for me and this stock. I have missed the last few opportunities to get 40-50 point moves in this stock. I'd hate to miss the 329 to 400 move.

LUM
Lum - $0.00
- N/A
- $N/A
Luminent mortgage is my speculative play. It's a real cheap stock. It has been beaten up because of the mortgage crisis.

-
RIMM
Research In Motio - $63.67
- 0.00%
- $N/A
RIMM keeps making money! The next time it drops off a few from its high, I'm going to pick some up. To think, I could have had some at 105 the day before its last qurater! D'OH! Edit: I can't believe that RIMM is getting cheap. I lost a couple of bucks on it though. Bought some at 109 and sold it later that same day at 107. I wasn't going to wait for it to come back. I think I'll see how low it goes before its next earnings release.

VZ
Verizon Commun - $30.31
- +0.46%
- $30.14
Added verizon back in my portfolio today (1/23/08). VZ was waaaaay to cheap today. 38 bucks? No way!. Best telco in my mind, continues to expand Fios. Forget AT&T. They don't know how to sell thier triple play.

ACI
Arch Coal Inc - $23.17
- -0.64%
- $23.16
After looking at a new 52 week high list last week, I saw this one. I looked at the chart and saw that it had a nice monster move in it. I know I fell asleep on the coal trade, but I might still make a little cash out of the deal.
